Where is Leo?!!??!
This had not be some kind of a joke from Igor and Leo is around the corner. Although, I mean, Leo would be safe – but that’s not funny. Not at all.
But if he’s not with Igor and he was supposed to be, where is he?
I was enjoying this episode until they dropped a missing child on me.
The minute Luiza said something felt off I was worried. Then Igor showed up empty handed. Also, dude why are you there if you’re not dropping off their child?
What is happening?
Please, please, please, please let Leo be okay.
Is also wrong that I’m a million percent sure Valentina’s mother had something to do with this? Is that wrong?
I hate it, if she is responsible. That’s so messed up. So wrong. And underhanded. I don’t like this woman.
Okay, so aside from the ending that I’m not fond of, I was having fun here.
I loved Luiza discussing her most recent memory and the effect it had on her. I imagine it must have been difficult to learn that some days you cried more than your newborn. That you weren’t there for you wife and so on.
But the scenes between them out on the patio.
Valentina wishing for things to be simpler like the were in college hit me. She doesn’t strike me as the type of person who gets lost in the past often.
I love Luiza reminding her that they’ve built a good life for themselves too. The past was nice, but the present is good too. Despite the added complications of adulthood.
I loved that Valentina knew she needed to separate herself to get some work done. Honestly, like how do they ever get anything done when they’re together?
I mean, it’s clear they often have lunch together.
As their next scene literally tells us.
They love having lunch together.
They also have a very hard time keeping their hands to themselves. Are we the Little Oranges fandom?
Like we’re creampuffs for Carmilla?
I kind of love it.
I wonder if we’ll ever get a story about the oranges origin. Is that a hint as to how many views this series has gotten?
Either way, I loved everyone teasing the favorite couple. It’s very sweet.
And by the way, Luiza, I’m certain Valentina wasn’t joking or messing around when she said that the two of you could do a lot with five minutes.
I agree with Duda, Igor.
And wipe that look off your face because she is right and your in denial about your mommy.
Just sign the paperwork and love her.
Jeez.
Now, I love this series, but did something get lost in The Lion King when it was translated?
Because Mufusa didn’t die so his son could have his destiny. Like what? He died because his brother was a jealous ass who wanted the throne for himself. He would have killed Simba too if given the chance. They were both supposed to die that day.
Simba was just lucky the hyenas were too lazy to follow him.
So that was weird.
Luiza, I am still with Duda.
I don’t want either child around their grandmother. The only thing that kept me from hitting the roof was that Marcos was there.
I mean, clearly he can’t stop his wife from being a terrible person, but at least the children won’t be completely alone with her. I couldn’t stomach that.
And it was good to see Duda and Igor not fighting for once this season.
I feel like there’s been a lot of contention between them this season. Illustrated by their own daughter!
I thought it was cute that Leo invited Anniha to live with him because his moms don’t fight as much.
I feel like that’s something that should be taken into account and never is when parents are fighting. Children aren’t blind or stupid.
In season one, Carol suggest Luiza ask for a divorce because the atmosphere she and Valentina were creating wasn’t good for Leo. It would be better if they were apart but getting along.
I feel like people often forget how much can affect a child.
And I think Duda and Igor needed this night out and they need to clear the air once and for all. Because it’s not good. If their daughter is feeling it, not good at all.
Then there’s the date between Luiza and Valentina.
I loved the picnic.
The discussion.
I loved that they each have struggles they have worked to overcome, separately, and together. Because as Luiza pointed out, some things have nothing to do with each other. I appreciate this.
The same way I appreciate the fighting bothering Anniha. It’s real and complicated and messy.
I love that the way that Luiza and Valentina look at their relationship.
They’re in this together. With their son. It’s the three of them against the world and whatever problems it brings. Things will be hard, but having this makes it suck a little less.
That makes all the difference on some hard days.
And finally! My favorite scene!
“What is an orgasm?” or “How are babies made?”
Those lines out of Leo’s mouth were so good. Coupled with Luiza face as she finally understood what her son was asking.
I loved how Valentina handled the first question. Explaining that he’s too young to understand these things.
So then he drops his second question.
Valentine teasingly lets her wife handle that. Showing that she’s still a little shit and annoys Luiza when she wants too.
I love that it toned down as she got older, but it’s still there.
I even loved Luiza’s answer.
Of course, my mind started spinning because… like it could be even more complicated to explain as a same sex couple. Babies are made through sex. Except Leo wasn’t.
So now we’re getting into donors, IVF, eggs, and so much deeper.
Luiza’s answer was perfect for the situation and I think they both handled it way better than I would have. I did not think of either of those explanations and I think that’s perfect.
Valentina cracking up at her wife’s navigating this minefield was hilarious.
Then calmly telling her son that’s he’s too young and we’ll explain everything when you’re bit older was perfect. It carefully explains that it isn’t something he has to worry about right now. But he’ll get an answer one day.
Satisfied, Leo returns to breakfast.
But Luiza is pondering a question of her own – where did he hear these things?
In my mind, I’m thinking your bedroom is literally attached to his! Maybe you two! Considering I haven’t seen a lot of hands to themselves this season. Not that I’m complaining.
Alas, it’s his aunts, her sisters who he overheard.
Her declaration of murder and Valentina laughing calmly while sipping her coffee was so domestic and perfect.
I’ve seen millions of scenes like this with straight couples and it was so affirming and refreshing to see it with two women. Treated just the same. With the same love, care, and humor it should because it’s not that different.
I love it! I love it and this series so much.
Now… WHERE IS LEO?!
