Umbrella Academy: Extra Ordinary – Review

Welp, I guess we know why there’s such a rift between Viktor and her siblings.

I mean, aside from the obvious that she has no powers while everyone else does and their father kept her separate from them as children. Who wouldn’t have mental issues after that?

But then it’s compounded that no one cares about the littlest one of the bunch.

He writes a book. It’s popular for a whopping two seconds before Viktor is once again relegated to obscurity. How lovely.

I think Diego takes it a bit far.

How would he feel being the one always left out by their father? Never allowed in pictures or in public. Or no one even knowing who you were until you published a book explaining your story. Only to discover no one really cares.

Also, Deigo since you don’t seem to like your family that much – why do you care?

There’s so much going on with these people.

Everyone is knee deep in their own shit and too caught up in themselves to care about the rest of their siblings.

Diego doesn’t even care for Viktor’s presence until he sides with him. How nice and asshole of you, Diego.

Their mother apparently let their father die.

Klaus is seeing dead people. Specifically his brother, which is why he’s constantly high or drunk. And well, I can’t blame him. Being constantly bombarded by people long since dead must be a pain in the ass. I cannot imagine how much worse it’ll be for him when he has to deal with his father in death.

Because I’m nearly certain he will.

Deigo is a Batman wannabe without the fun gadgets or interesting rich boy broodiness.

Allison discovered some grown-up consequences to a very terrifying power she weilds.

She can literally make anything she wants happen by saying ‘I heard a rumor…’

That’s freaking terrifying. Especially to think she used it on her young daughter, and I truly can’t blame the father for taking their daughter away. I can’t imagine how he must have felt seeing that. But also, Allison wants to be there for her daughter. It’s quite conflicting.

Because she seems to genuinely care and regret what she did.

Not to mention, I doubt her father thought there was anything wrong with her using her powers on the people around her. She was probably encouraged to do so or never given limits other than not to use it on him.

Did she ever get anywhere in life without using it?

I wonder.

Luthor is a giant ape.

Am I the only one who saw that coming?

Because I did. I couldn’t figure out why else he would cover himself up so much or his family be surprised by his sudden size. Also, I’m pretty sure Diego asked what their father did to him and that made me think he was a lab experiment gone wrong.

Who knows?

Either way, he clearly didn’t want anyone else to see him.

But I didn’t care. Dude had a whole heavy chandler fall on him without dying or huge bodily injury.

Like damn. I think the ape body saved you buddy.

Their mother is ultimately shut down in a show of maturity I didn’t think any of these idiots were capable of. Alas, I wonder what will happen next because I doubt that’s the end of it.

Why did she let him die? Did she malfunction?

If she did, I can’t help but wonder how she fell into disrepair. Their father doesn’t seem to be the type to let little details slip through the cracks. Did someone taper with her? Was someone trying to kill him?

I did enjoy the fight scene with the killers Hazel and Cha-Cha, the crazy lunatics they are.

And they are crazy.

Because they saw the giant known as Luthor and didn’t leave that moment. It took him getting nailed by the chandler and getting back up to rethink their life choices.

Although, they did still escape with a prize.

Sort of.

It’s not Klaus is going to be useful to them. He doesn’t seem like the type of person who plays well with others even while being held hostage. Just a thought.

He’d more likely puke on you.

Can’t wait to see how this all shakes out.
