I found this series in a grocery store while I was with my Mom. It was the first real book series I found that I fell in love with. I reread it from time to time and it truly my sparked my love of reading.
Because I discovered books outside the ones I was forced to read at school.
And it led me to my current job working at a bookstore. In the children’s section. Because I know what it’s like to be a difficult reader and not have a real interest until the right book came along.
Being able to put that book into a child’s hands is no better feeling for me. I love matching kids with their first real pick outside school.
It also fostered my love of telling stories, because I realized there’s no ‘right’ way to do it.
Thus leading me to this blog and hopefully more things in the future. Those books changed my world.
