Reacher – No Apologies

Apparently, Reacher doesn’t believe in apologies to bullies.

Kliner is dead. Plot twist I did not see coming by the way.

Roscoe flew off the handle.

Don’t blame her.

Picard’s got to get back to work.

Poor doggy. I hope he finds a good home now.

And if that guy didn’t want the dog, find a no kill shelter, and let someone adopt him who wants him. I suggest Reacher. He seems like a good place for the doggy. But that’s just me.

I feel that was a poor choice on KJ’s part to write that on the truck.

I loved that Reacher didn’t even say a word as he got back in the car.

For a moment, though, I totally thought Reacher wasn’t going to try to put his head through a wall. Then he tried. He deserved it.

I really want KJ to get what he deserves. Like a slow death.

Such an ass.

And of course the Kliner’s can’t press changes because it would reveal that they’re scum of the Earth. So they’re forced to shout endlessly and do nothing about it. I love when they lose power.

Roscoe is fired…?

Eh? What?

I mean, Teale, that’s not really helpful to your cause. I’m just saying.

Getting rid of anyone who is a threat to your business of fake money, by either killing or firing them doesn’t make the problem go away. In fact, I think it makes it bigger. The more death and chaos surrounding your little town, the more people will notice.

Which is why I’m so confused about Kliner.

Kliner doesn’t seem like a big mess kind of guy. He seems like a ‘make it go away quietly’ type. So what’s with the loud messages?

Then he dies…

So now I’m more confused.

Because if he died… There’s got to be somebody in charge ahead of him. Right?

Like you only get to kill the big fish, if there’s a bigger fish. So if he’s not the boss… Who’s in charge? Did I miss something?

It can’t be KJ? Can it? He’s too dumb.

Although, it would explain the chaos…

You know what? Never mind. My head hurts. I’m simply enjoying the chaotic ride and I’m not going to bother trying to figure out the puzzle. I’ve got Reacher for that.

Did anyone think Gray actually killed himself?

He sounded like a good man. Brillant cop. If shit was going down in Margrave, he probably got too close like Joe.

He was definitely murdered. For sure.

I love that Reacher politely cleaned the map in the barbershop. So polite and respectful.

Gray found all sorts of shit.

Roscoe’s pissed. Don’t blame her. Again.

They do deserve to pay. All of them.

Totally love the barber. He’s clean. Definitely, just a good man.

Neagley is great and how they found each other is so weird. They were both basing things on what they knew about each other, but Reacher didn’t get a thing right. Love it.

As we dig deeper, you know what we find??? More dead bodies.

I’m not even surprised at this point.

The favorite clean-up method appears to be murder around here.

I have to say, I was shocked to discover the mayor got his own hands or cane dirty. But I love that little tidbit. He’s so much worse. Everyone is so much worse as they desperately try to protect their little money scheme.

Love that Roscoe punched him.

I don’t even care about the consequences of her getting out of town.

I will miss her interacting with Reacher, but I will not miss the romance. Not even a little.

I suppose it’s why I loved Neagley so much. No underlying romantic tension. Please keep it this way. Thank you.

The Viking? Really. No.

Hate that name.

Finley breaks the law. I like this side of him. Keep it up. And his helping Roscoe hide away. She jumped out of my car and I lost her. Sure. No one buys that, but I love the effort.

Then my favorite part.

One of the cops is dirty.

Shocker.

Not.

I absolutely loved that Reacher and Nealey were telling the other cop to shoot. They knew.

They knew there was no going back for the dirty cop. Either he pulled the trigger or he was going to die badly. So would his family. There was no escape. He had to follow through or face worse.

Clearly, he had no spine not to pull the trigger and do the right thing.

They knew the other cop was going to die unless he did something.

I loved how emotionless and strategic they were about it. “Draw your gun and shoot. Don’t hesitate.”

They knew.

No doubts.

No regret.

Survive or die.

Something neither cop was great with. Because they’re cops. They weren’t in the military. They don’t have the training to see the whole picture here. The good cop, he thought he could talk him down.

But Reacher and Neagley knew.

For some reason, that scene hit so well for me. Especially, showcasing how similar these two are, despite their wildly different personalities. They have the same training, the same instincts.

Like the look they shared before kicking through to the front of the car.

Fight or die.

And it wasn’t nice or pretty, but there was no saving that cop’s family if they helped him. If he died, it looked like he died trying to fulfill his obligation to this mysterious crime organization. Reacher and Neagley were just better.

Also, I loved how annoyed they were when they got to shore. Like, they were both annoyed by how senseless that was.

Two cops are dead? For what?

Especially the one trying to do the right thing. All because he was a good guy, trying to give the other a chance to do the right thing.

What a waste. But hey, we got something.

Then he puts the clothes back in the bin.

And I’ll be honest, for a moment I thought he was in the bin. That would have been so funny giving their size difference.

I’m loving this show.

Welp, onto the rest!
