Hot, hot, hot, hot.
Did anything besides the shower scene happen?
Did it?
I wasn’t paying attention.
Well, I was. As I watched that scene over and over again. Noting as many little details as I could.
Damn. I love this series. I love these actresses.
The entire scene here is how I found this web series in the first place. This shower scene was paired in a gif set on Tumblr with the one from Station 19, featuring Maya and Carina.
I though, hey? Two women having shower sex, with chemistry in these little pictures to rival Marina?
SIGN ME UP.
I regret nothing.
Except not finding this series sooner!
Right, you probably want my thoughts on this episode.
Um, that shower scene was damn sexy. It was done so well!
Watching this Christmas Special has given some insight as I mentioned before about Luiza and Valentina’s relationship before the memory loss. We can see why Valentina wanted so badly for things to return to normal. Why she wanted her wife back.
Everything about their interactions here are another demonstration of their relationship.
The goofy way Luiza got Léo out of the room.
Feeling up her wife.
Barely waiting for her son to exit before making a move.
Valentina knowing the whole time what her wife was up to but loving every minute of it.
Their flirting, their teasing. How in love with each other they truly are.
Because right now, they’re going through something terrible.
Valentina can’t have children.
Luiza had a terrible time after giving birth.
They’re at a loss for where to go from here. How can they expand their family? Do they want to keep trying? Will Luiza carry their second child? Would that make Valentina resent her?
There are so many questions still lingering. So much pain and hurt.
But it doesn’t touch them.
It does and it doesn’t.
It does, because they’re both clearly hurting.
But they’re not pulling away from each other.
They’re pulling each other closer.
They’re still choosing each other, every minute. Through all the bad. They are holding onto each other and their family, friends, and son to help them through the darkness.
And I fucking love that!
I love to see a healthy relationship challenged by external forces rather than internal ones.
Because there’s nothing really wrong with their relationship.
I’m sure they disagree and things aren’t always perfect.
But at the end of the day, they choose each other.
Every morning, every night, during every tough moment, and they want to be together through it all because being together makes even the worst moments better.
They love each other. The nurture it. Even in the face of something terrible.
Those little moments.
Helping each other dress. Touching and helping with jewelry. Spending quality time together as a couple. Reveling in that connection.
The moment they said ‘I love you.’
It was all sweet and heartwarming.
And a reminder that nothing, no matter how bad will tear them apart.
After the shower, I loved their moment coming downstairs and seeing everything. I love that their friends and family are taking care of them. They’re going through something, so their families are giving them a little something extra.
But they’re also providing normalcy.
I once watched a comic who said the worst thing after a tragedy was people treating him differently. Like he was fragile forever now. He vowed to be as normal as possible when people were suffering. Not ignoring it, but not treating the person like they’re made of glass. (Daniel Sloss.)
Their friends took care of dinner and setting up, giving them time to be together.
But then, they also joke around about dinner time.
Igor offers to answer the door.
But they pick on each other about eating the turkey whether or not it’s cooked.
It’s care mixed with their normal bickering. It’s so real and sweet. I loved it!
I especially love Luiza who seems to be extra sweet to her wife right now.
It’s like she knows her wife is having a tough time. With everything that happened and her fallout with her mother. It’s Christmas and they’re not here and she’ll never carry a baby like she wants.
Luiza is distracting her.
Cheering her on.
Checking in.
Like that moment on the couch, when she so carefully asked if someone else was coming. She was looking at her wife with such affection and care. She knew how hard this is for her wife and she just wants to be there.
I love everything about this.
I love them.
I love this look into their life before her memory was lost.
If I was Valentina I’d scream at the sky at the unfairness of it all. Then scream for joy when my wife started to fall in love with me again.
So many emotions!
Kudos to the actresses for their work here and bringing these characters to life!
