Let’s talk about episode three.
Master and Apprentice are reunited.
And bickering already.
Seems right on schedule.
I do love that Ahsoka was annoyed with Huyang for telling Sabine she was lacking in her Force abilities. He has no sense of tack, clearly.
But it is the truth.
And I’ve seen debates online, or at least Tumblr about what Ahsoka said about the Jedi Order having fallen.
People are going with the idea that the Jedi weren’t wrong in their assessments, they stood for thousands of years before the Clone Wars. Clearly something worked.
On the other hand, people are pointing out that they did fall. Even after all that time. Maybe Ahsoka has a point in trying to change things.
Honestly?
Each side makes some good points.
And for me? I don’t really care.
Ahsoka has long since placed herself into a category of not being a Jedi.
As far as I’m concerned, whatever she does or doesn’t do, doesn’t matter. the Jedi aren’t around to get mad at her, first of all. Second, she’s not breaking their code if she considers herself separate to the Order.
Next, I don’t think Ahsoka was taking on Sabine as a Padawan to continue the Jedi Order.
I think she’s doing it because she sees something in her.
She doesn’t care if she becomes a Jedi. She even says, she wants Sabine to be herself.
I don’t think the Jedi were wrong in having assessments for who they did or did not choose.
But I do think Ahsoka has a point.
The Jedi did fall.
We can’t discount that because of how long they stood.
Do I think we should toss everything they did away? No! Clearly it worked for a long time.
But I do think some things need changing. After all, the Jedi ignored the warning signs from Anakin because they believed he could overcome it. They let their blind faith, destroy them.
Better to go in eyes open.
Although, I do think both sides have a point.
I also don’t care.
Ahsoka, like those who have come before her in lineage, will do as they please. Honestly, Sabine fits perfectly with them.
Which I adored Huyang pointing out.
Ahsoka comes from an unusual line of Jedis. Making her choice in an unusual Padawan perfect.
Overall, not much happened in this episode.
We saw Hera fighting politics.
What did anyone expect from someone who called themselves a rebel?
I literally finished saying she was a rebel, of course she’s going to disobey when Hera said it herself. I had to pause just to laugh.
The New Republic is just as sticky to navigate as the old one.
Also does Hera need permission to take her own ship and go somewhere?
I love her son. He’s adorable.
And Ahsoka and Sabine had some growing pains.
They have to get used to each other again.
Also, during that moment when Sabine was complaining that Ahsoka removed her presets and Ahsoka said she didn’t need them. I kept thinking to myself, who flew the ship while she was shooting? Huyang?
That must have been hilarious.
I loved Huyang too.
Overall, I think this series is shaping up quite well and I’m enjoying it no matter who hates it.
And really being entertained by things is all that matters.
