Jimmy has lost his mind.

And his genetics.

Seriously, man, I didn’t think you were ever going to notice that you were a wolfman or that she was the villain you were supposed to be looking for, for Perry. My goodness. If the story was any closer, it would have bitten you. He still wouldn’t have noticed, though.

Jimmy goes to a dating thingie. Where the creators of such a thing are actually broken up at this point. Which – you know – does not bode well for their formula thing, since that was what brought them together in the first place. I would have turned and left after that tidbit of information.

But that’s just me.

I’m not Jimmy, ridiculously trying to compete with Kara over something he started.

Got to love when a guy doesn’t want to date you and doesn’t want you to date anyone else either. Also, Lois not helping!

Jimmy kind of got what he deserved there. I mean, not the kidnapping part. That was a bit extreme when she hunted him down after the date and the wolf thing. I think we could have ended it at the wolf thing and learned a valuable lesson.

We did not.

Jimmy’s bones are returned to normal. He’s kidnapped but he’s bugged Clark one too many times that day and almost can’t get his super best friend to help him out when he actually needs it.

You know what they say about crying wolf, Jimmy.

Huh, wolf pun. Didn’t notice that until I typed that sentence. Oops. Happy accident.

Meanwhile, Jimmy you could have been dating the girl you actually want, who wants you as well, but for stupid boy reasons, you’re not. You reap what you sow.

Clark just wants a peaceful day.

Originally to spend it with Lois and have a date. But Lois makes other plans with Kara to help her get back at Jimmy, which is where she is not helping with the whole ‘being mature thing’ I would like them to try.

She and Kara start singing in the mall. Strangely. Didn’t know there was going to be a musical up in her.

Superman nearly adopts a dog, but the whole pesky secret identity gets in the way. Instead, he builds a miniature of the family and life he wants. Something that takes him all day because he keeps getting called away to save the day. No time off for superheroes.

Which is why he’s all the more frustrated when Jimmy calls. Again. At the end of the day when he’s actually in a heap ton of trouble.

I also love that Clark did not want any part of W.O.R.M.S. Just no.

And they blurred out his face. Too late, I might add. We already saw him.

Which they did again when as Superman he insists that he does not endorse this. The fact that the company did comply with that and blur his face while explaining that he doesn’t endorse was more than I was expecting from them. Considering how terrible they are at everything else.

Also, Jimmy, drop the sponsorship. This is not worth it.

My goodness.

Oh, and Clark, with the, ‘Ma’am, I’m going to stop you right there. I’m in a committed relationship.’ That was so adorable and very Clark Kent of him. Oops, I see where this is going. Let me just shut that down right here because I’m not interested. Very taken. Happily taken. And you don’t want to meet her. Be glad it’s me. The polite one.

Not ‘Mad Dog Lane.’ Yikes.

Who is having her own crisis this episode, as she has been since episode one. Because she does want a future with Clark, but thinking about it too much scares the crap out of her. She’s not ready to be there yet. With the house and the dog and the kid and the crib and the sheer overwhelming commitment of it all.

Because while she knows that she and Clark will be together forever. That they love each other. She’s not ready for everything else yet. She’s just getting used to this. Comfortable with the here and now. Not ready for diaper changes and dogs and taking care of a house together. It’s a bit much for her right now. And she’s not saying never. Just that she needs more time.

Which is completely reasonable and fair. I think she needs to be more upfront with Clark when things like this freak her the hell out. But also, it’s a very Lois move to freak out for a while before telling Clark that she’s terrified.

I also believe that Clark needs to slow the heck down.

I know that to him getting married and having a family is a great idea and seems like a lot of fun, because of how he grew up. He loved his childhood and his parents. They loved each other and made family life look like a lot of fun. Whereas Lois did not have that.

This is a scary trap to her. One she hasn’t realized doesn’t have to be scary yet either.

However, Clark is at a warp nine and he’s needs to bring it down to impulse here. They’re both very young and need more time together before that future is ready to come to pass. There’s no hurry man. Calm down. Enjoy the now. Take a deep breath. Try living together in the city before committing to a farm.

Make sure that your living habits can blend well.

There’s so much more to enjoy and down before the house, dog, and kids. I think that’s where Lois is at and where Clark ought to be.

Oh, and when did he manage to buy that model? Didn’t Toyman immediately wreck everything after he asked to purchase it? Was there still a booth? Did he buy it as Toyman was being arrested? Did I miss something?

Either way, very cute that he had it. And cute that he wanted a doggy and to name him Krypto.

I also veto the name Bark Kent. Just no. No.

That’s bad even for you, Clark. Damn.

Lastly, I loved the fight as Henshaw scares the ever-loving crap out of the public by being completely ruthless to everyone. Unlike Superman. Since he gives a damn about everyone. Even the criminals.

I really enjoyed that he knew Siobhan by name and politely asked her for the weapon back. My goodness, he’s too precious. And perfectly Superman and Clark Kent in that moment.

It pairs well with him protecting Siobhan and even the villains or criminals or public getting upset with Henshaw over his treatment of people. Superman wouldn’t hurt someone in his custody. Unless they’re trying to hurt others or him. He only fights back if he needs to.

He doesn’t needlessly hurt people just because they did something wrong.

Everyone deserves respect and care and kindness.

Also, I would like to point out that they’re not criminals either. They only become a criminal when convicted of a crime. Technically, they’re suspects or suspects in custody. As we govern with the idea that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, you’re not punishing a criminal, you’re attacking a civilian. Which is illegal.

The law’s fun, isn’t it?

You’re only allowed to use ‘necessary force’ to stop someone who is a danger to yourself or others.

Henshaw crossed all the lines and the public stopped trusting him. Unlike Superman. Who kindly stepped in and tried to reason with everyone. He didn’t attack or punch. He defended. He protected.

I loved that. I loved this scene so much and I loved Luthor as well understanding that they needed the public to trust him and Henshaw in order to undermine Superman. Without that, they don’t have anything. Superman looks like the good guy and Henshaw the villain. Simple as that.

I did enjoy Lex’s clear take on the matter.

Don’t think it’s going to help him much since he gave Henshaw far too much power and not a reliable enough off switch.

Oh and last but not least, we have the end and the promo for next week’s episode. I’m calling it right now, that kid is Lois and Clark’s son. He looks like a perfect mix of them. I can’t wait at all to see it! UGH!
