If you don’t know FeJu, you’re missing out!
This is a YouTube series created by the same company that does Stupid Wife. This show has five seasons of pure insanity.
The actresses who star in it, run Action Point Productions who make Stupid Wife! Natalie Smith and Priscilla Pugliese play the two main characters!
And when I tell you this series was unhinged, it’s unhinged.
It’s a soap opera, but very, very gay.
There’s cheating, lying, miscarriages, drama, best friends in love, stalkers, jealousy, and so much more!
They threw everything but the kitchen sink at this series. And it works… Mostly.
Sure, it’s not perfect. This series is made over many years. You can tell when they had a better budget and more experience. But honestly, it’s all good.
The beginning is just raw and sheer fun.
The entire series is about two best friends, Juliana (Smith) and Fernanda (Pugliese.) When the series opens, it’s clear they’re already super in love with each other, but aren’t willing to admit it.
Things go terribly wrong from there and Julianna ends up engaged to someone else. During this, they struggle with their feelings for each other. Hence the name of the series, The Bride’s Best Friend.
So much happens over the course of five seasons.
So much happens over the course of one season.
Not to mention, there’s at least two series finales when they ended the show, but brought it back to do another season.
It’s crazy from start to finish and if you want some crazy lady loving lady drama, this is the show for you. It’s a guilty pleasure soap, filled with endless drama, and is just fun.
I cannot recommend it enough.
The actresses have pretty good chemistry. They play off each other well. Clearly, as two people who have known each other for a long time.
Overall, the series isn’t the greatest, but it doesn’t matter. It’s a good time.
It’s drama. It’s silly. It discusses important issues like trying to have kids as two women. It talks about adoption difficulty. Stalkers. There’s even a plot about domestic violence.
Overall, it’s about two women who love each other no matter trying to make it work. Even when the odds are stacked against them. Even when things have blown up. It’s filled with well intentioned storylines.
They’re not all executed well, but it reminds me of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air quote, “He’s a little confused, but he’s got the spirit.”
That’s definitely the vibe here as the company grows and learns from prior mistakes. Seriously, this show is worth a watch through if for nothing else, than to watch two beautiful women make out with each other.
Who doesn’t love that?
