A baby?
There’s a baby on the way?!
Oh my goodness, I’m so excited for the two of them! I’m excited that they have Poppy full time.
So much has happened in the two years since we last saw Amy and Kirsten!
And this time, I’m going episode by episode, every Tuesday morning at 10:13am EST!
So season or series two of Vigil has dropped on Peacock!
And apparently, we’re starting with a bang.
A bunch of drones shot up the place, killing seven people. Civilians and soldiers alike. I cannot think of a dumber way to die while serving.
Seriously. It was supposed to be a training exercise.
And people died? It’s so senseless.
For what?
For nothing. It doesn’t even matter the plot of the next five episodes. Someone killed those people and attacked everyone for no reason.
I’m going to call it right now, Dougray Scott’s character is guilty of some shenanigans. Don’t know what, but his hands aren’t clean.
He’s far too helpful.
No one in the military or air force of what have you is that helpful. Don’t believe me? Watch season one.
The guy whose credentials were used is probably innocent. So was the guy whose drone it was originally given how freaked out he was.
I loved Amy’s disgust with how he was treated. Definitely tells you the kind of cop she is.
She treats people, even suspects with the dignity they deserve.
I love that.
But the guy they went looking for in the woods who has been found dead. More than likely, not really involved.
I’m just guessing because someone that high up is bright enough not to use his own ID to get into the system. May as well just sign your name on the crime. Would he really be that foolish?
Easier to frame him.
Overall, the story-arc is wildly intriguing and I’m probably going to binge the entire season in a sitting.
However, the moments that I loved more than anything was watching Amy and Kristen together.
I’m so happy to see that Amy truly put things behind her and moved forward in her relationships. Not only with Poppy, but with Kirsten as well.
I loved that she wanted her on the case with her, because they work well together.
Then something exploded. It went out the window briefly.
Then we’re off to some dangerous location and Amy is fighting with herself, much to her girlfriend’s amusement and mine. Honestly, the whole fight with herself might have been my favorite moment.
It was so damn adorable and we see the strides Amy has made since last season.
Even in her joking and comfortable relationship with Poppy.
She’s come a long way to stop expecting the worst to happen around every single corner. Yes, I think she’s still on edge. Which isn’t unreasonable given her past. But she’s not letting it control her.
Yes, she’d like to wrap Kirsten up in bubble wrap and keep bad things from happening to her.
But she doesn’t.
She stays silent.
She takes her with her to the scene. Allows her the dignity to make her own choices.
But then we reach the end of the episode and we’re left with them in the middle of the woods with a young girl, no weapons, and back-up too far away.
And suddenly, I’m the one concerned for Kirsten’s safety.
Yikes!
Why you ending it like that? What the hell? I can’t imagine waiting week to week for this to come out.
I get to watch it in one go and I’m annoyed. Damn. They were not playing around this season.
Well, then – let’s see what’s next.
