My Adventures With Superman: You’ll Believe a Man Can Lie – Review

There are so many things to talk about.

So many things happened.

Oh my goodness.

Jimmy is Steve.

Steve trolling Jimmy by accident.

Lombard being more of a himbo type than a stereotypical pig is a nice change of pace. As is the focus of Jimmy.

I think I mentioned before I would like to see more from Jimmy’s perspective as he seems to be feeling left out. I’m glad to see it was an intentional input by the writers and not a throwaway sort of moment.

I knew from the minute we opened and Jimmy found himself alone things weren’t going his way.

Having the episode end with him in the rain, waiting for his friends who are too wrapped up in their own stuff to remember their friend was heartbreaking.

Only for him to then be kidnapped by Gorilla Grood…? I’m guessing.

Do we have other talking gorillas in the DC universe?

Tell me if I missed one.

I loved Jimmy’s story and I can’t wait to see how that unfolds.

As for Clark and Lois – I couldn’t stop laughing at this.

Lois’ crazy attempts to prove he’s Superman are always a favorite for me. Like in Superman II when she just chucks herself out the window. Over into Niagara Falls. Tries to ‘shoot’ him.

Those never fail in my book.

I think more people ought to take the determined do whatever it takes Lois Lane route.

She’s not nicknamed Mad Dog Lane for nothing.

Also, I don’t care at all what people are saying about her. She’s totally justified in being angry. Just like I think Clark being hesitant is normal too.

She let him in and feels like he hasn’t done the same.

Clark worries because he’s never told someone the truth before.

I think both are valid and they need to talk like people once they’ve both cooled off.

I do disagree with Clark .

How could he possibly think Lois would hurt him by publishing all his secrets is a bit of a stretch. I think being hesitant to reveal part of himself he’s snever shared with anyone else before is normal. Thinking she’s so cold hearted she’d tell the world… Um no.

Too far.

She’s not a villain.

I cracked up during the scene with the bagel and the weights. When she handcuffed herself to him. When she was chasing him across the city.

Um Lois? The man can fly at super speeds. Do you think chasing him around the city is the anser?

Good thing a crime happened near her.

Otherwise who knows how long she would have been running around Metropolis.

I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds! I’m totally hooked on this fun and light interpretation of Superman!

Spread the love and read on!
