If you’re a fan of Insomniac Games or Spider-Man or Marvel, well good news! Marvel and Insomniac Games have confirmed on CBR that they’re sticking with their partnership!
Which is honestly amazing, especially after the weird leak we had not too long ago. I’m glad they’ve reaffirmed their continued partnership because Insomniac makes not only great games, but great Marvel games!
Their original Marvel game, Spider-Man from 2018
is an absolutely amazing game. A love letter to the character they nailed so damn well. There’s nothing like it. It might actually be my favorite version of Peter Parker and his story as Spider-Man.
Only to be followed up by the short but sweet Spider-Man Miles Morales game.
Chef’s kiss!
Insomniac has a knack for understanding the source material and making something to honor all that has come before while forging ahead with something new. All the easter eggs they drop. How they manage to write compelling stories.
Like the first Spider-Man game made me cry.
A video game. Made me cry.
That has never happened before. Or since as a matter of fact!
While Spider-Man 2 was not as good as the first, the drop-off isn’t that great. It’s still an amazing playthrough with a compelling story.
And while I’m not typically a Wolverine fan, I’m actually looking forward to their take on the character.
The sneak peek of the character’s game was simply amazing and I’m not looking forward to another year of waiting. But honestly, like all of their games, it’ll probably be worth the wait!
I love how different the vibe of this game is.
Even thought Spider-Man was a hit, they’re not doing him again in Wolverine’s costume.

No. They’re doing Wolverine. He’s a different character. A darker one, with a complicated past, and a complicated relationship with his heroic status.
It’s not like Man of Steel, where we’re trying to turn Wolverine into Spider-Man because that’s what sells. It doesn’t work. Because Superman isn’t Batman. And Wolverine isn’t Spider-Man.
You have to tell their story.
And honor their comic legacy.
They’ve endured this long for a reason.
Insomniac Games gets that and I’m really looking forward to their continued partnership with Marvel. I cannot wait to see what characters they tackle next. While I also wait super impatiently for another Spider-Man game.
I mean, I’ll check out the others and play them.
But Spider-Man is my man.
He brought me to the Insomniac Games table and made me realize a love for video games I didn’t know I needed in my life to entertain while I’m bedridden from time to time. For that, he holds a special place in my heart, just like Insomniac.
Fan for life here now!
Thanks for reading! Catch you next week!
Spread the love and read on!
