Day Six
Do you have a holiday special that takes you back? Makes you feel like a little kid again every time you watch it?
This is it for me.
I saw it on TV a couple Christmas ago now and I instantly felt like I was transported back to late nights staying up on vacations and weekends in December to watch all the Christmas specials. Begging my parents to watch one more or record in on a VHS tape.
Because yes, I’m old enough to remember doing that.
Only being able to watch these specials when they came on TV, not whenever I wanted, making them oh so special to me because I never wanted to miss them.
I remember this one in particular because Santa actually brought coal for Angelica. Yes, he gave her the toy she wanted but left behind a warning as well that he was watching and knew she hadn’t been good all the time.
I loved it as a kid, and I love it now. It never fails to get me to sit and watch the whole thing through without flinching, so I don’t miss a thing. No phone, nothing else. Just me and childhood memories.
