Before the fourth season of this showed aired, I so badly wished they would have let them spend the entire season together.
We’d had enough of the cat and mouse games over three seasons.
We could do with seeing them coping with each other on a daily basis. And the last episode of the series was exactly that! It was amazing and ridiculous and funny!
I wished that was the case for the whole season.
But we were robbed of letting these two spend more than one episode per season together.
I mean, come on. Everything about that last episode was golden! The singing in the car, the kiss, the dancing, the cuddling, and dealing with other people. They were both so good together with fantastic chemistry!
I needed so much more.
And I also didn’t need a death from a random bullet.
BTW, writers of Killing Eve, watch Mythbusters. Even a 50 cal at close range in the water doesn’t have the ability to be deadly anymore. It shatters apart.
So guess what? Villainelle should have survived. Unfortunately, she couldn’t survive your poor writing choices.
Sigh.
Overall, this show was highly addictive as these two were horrible and perfect for each other. Things that shouldn’t coexist together, but did.
Eve wasn’t cut out for normal, no matter how much she tried to convince herself she was with her chickens and her duller than paint drying husband.
And well, Villainelle, is Villainelle. She doesn’t feel things, until she meets someone who sparks something inside her and she’s obsessed with them. To the point where if they don’t come to her crime scene, she loses it.
It’s such an interesting dynamic between these two women.
They’re compelled by the other.
Obsessed to an unhealthy level.
But they also understand each other like no one else. They understand this darkness and longing to feel something that the other has.
Neither of them is good at being forced into normal boxes.
They’re both too comfortable with violence and terrible things in the world.
They don’t fit anywhere else but with each other.
And it’s awful. But it’s good entertainment. Because for as much as these two need therapists and a whole bunch of help if they were real people, as characters I never want them to resolve their issues.
I want them constantly obsessed with each other and making poor decisions because they can’t stay away. It makes for some compelling TV.
And I’m with the actresses, I could have watched these two dealing with each other until they were both old and gray.
But if the series had to come to an end, well, damn. You could have done it justice, and that wasn’t it!
What do you guys think about this couple?
Want a hint for tomorrow?
This couple comes from a web series that has recently come to an end! They’ve been together for over a decade and have two small children by the end!
