Am I surprised the mother had something to do with Leo?

Nope. Not even in the slightest.

The entire argument was crazy. Absolutely crazy.

I agree with Luiza and Valentina entirely and I think Catarina needs to stuff it.

Teach them about responsibility?

They had it covered. Igor was supposed to pick Leo up and he dropped the ball. Not that the little Mama’s boy said it out loud and defended his sister. Instead, he tries to later agree with his mother.

Valentina should have smacked him.

And Catarina? You can’t lecture them and then say you forgot to call once Leo was in your care. That’s irresponsible and designed just to make them look bad.

When they did nothing wrong.

They entrusted the uncle with picking up his nephew and he messed up. Not Luiza nor Valentina.

Not even a little.

Taking him for ice cream, letting the mothers worry, all of that was to make herself look like the hero to Leo. To ensure whatever shit she’s got planned for later, he wants to be with her because she’s fun inside of his mothers.

Like I’m more convinced than ever that those are custody papers she filed.

Though I’m not sure what grounds she could have used since they’re clearly wonderful mothers.

People who don’t give a damn about their kids, don’t tend to flip out like that.

So Catarina, go pound sand.

And Igor? Be grateful your sister let you off easy. I wouldn’t have.

You left my kid to sit for two hours, let our mother speak to me like that without taking the blame you deserve, and then you try to tell me she has a point?

No! Get out of here with that BS.

What the hell Igor?

I would have smacked him. I wanted to smack him. I was rooting for Valentina to smack him for his blind faith in their awful mother.

Absolutely awful.

This entire thing ticked me off.

I remembered shit like this when I was little. The two sides playing each other to get what they wanted and putting the kid in the middle. Making the kid want to be with the fun one or what have you. Ensuring that you get the kid on your side.

I hate that. I lived that. I felt that in my soul.

Leo doesn’t deserve to be pulled around like that. Or for his grandmother to act like his mothers don’t care and forgot about him until it dawned on them that he was missing.

They thought he was safe in his uncle’s care. They didn’t do anything wrong.

Except maybe not make some heads roll. But that’s just me.

My mother and I would have had a lot of choice words if this was me.

Anyway, despite the triggering elements, it was all sooo good.

I commend the actresses so much.

Reis was perfect in absolute rage and disgust for the woman standing in front of her daring to lecture her over motherhood.

Buiar made every moment charged with betrayal and disgust and wonder for how her mother would use this against her later.

I especially loved the moment when they told Leo they were going and he didn’t want to. The voice from Buiar was amazing. Her tone was spot on for how my own mother sounded when dealing with pushy and overbearing grandparents.

Luiza’s attempt at calm when asking her son to leave.

Valentina just heaving him up and leaving. I loved it.

So well done. Kudos to them.

Then after that rollercoaster, things progress a bit more normally for the series.

Luiza releases some tension over the issue with her sister and brother-in-law, allowing her to say how she feels without upsetting someone directly linked to Catarina. As saying anything to Duda may trigger more anxiety over the situation, and between her and Igor.

I really enjoyed that choice to allow Luiza to spend time discussing her thoughts on the situation with someone outside of it.

We’re are then once again treated to Luiza and Valentina unable to keep their hands off each other. Even going so far as to hide one of Leo’s favorite toys to buy themselves a bit of make-out time.

I loved that Luiza knew exactly what Valentina was up to when she sent their son off in search of his favorite toy. Too bad she didn’t hide it well enough.

Although, that little boy does tend to exhaust himself into a coma, allowing them some freedom once he’s asleep. Like you know, in the hot tub outside.

Thank goodness they don’t have any close neighbors or they would have gotten a very hot show. Damn.

These two have some of the best and most insane chemistry.

I honestly believed no one would ever have better chemistry than Maya and Carina. I was wrong. These two are definitely right up there, if not hotter.

After that scene and how satisfied they are with themselves, at Leo’s birthday party, everyone knows what they got up to the night before. The smiles and relaxed atmosphere, combined with the still incapable hands to themselves thing gives it all away.

I loved the sisterly moment in the bedroom.

Luiza? I’m most certain now than ever that Valentina must have been your first and you were not Valentina’s.

Sarah is a full-grown adult and even if she wasn’t, since that’s never stopped anyone, do you really think she’s not having sex? Unless she doesn’t care for it, of course.

Valentina jumping right in.

Still unable to keep their hands to themselves.

I don’t mind.

Luiza’s admission that life is good with her wife is so amazingly far since season one. It’s hard to believe this woman is still missing memories, given how fiercely she loves Valentina already.

The birthday party.

Why is the grandmother there?

Seriously? We invited her? After everything? What does it take people?

Sigh.

Clean-up, planting in the garden, a conversation with so not so subtle undertones about how Anniha isn’t really her granddaughter because she’s adopted later….

I really don’t like Catarina. Every time she opens her mouth, I like her less.

And she wants to what? Drive a wedge between Valentina and Luiza by informing Luiza that Igor is the donor?

Luiza accepted this decision already. Even if she doesn’t remember it. She agreed to it once. Why would it bother her now?

It’s just silly and annoying and I don’t think anything will come of it. So go away lady!

The moment between Valentina and Leo arguing over who ticked off Luiza was adorable. I need more moments like that, please.

Alright then, episode seven is down. One more to go for this season and then there’s college special!
