Reacher – Reacher Said Nothing

Reacher never says much honestly.

This might have been a better title in episode one. I don’t think he spoke for half of it.

Either way, my favorite episode to date.

I absolutely loved that he handed himself up on a silver platter to the bad guys and they just… went for it.

Like how stupid are they? Did they think they were going to win? They were going to catch him off guard? That he believed one word he said to the other cop?

Seriously?

You’ve had all this trouble taking him out. Catching him off guard. Or killing him. Hell, you’ve barely put a dent in him.

But yeah, sure. He’s just sitting in Hubble’s house watching tv.

Also, I hope the Hubble move or know a great cleaner.

That house will need it.

It was so stupidly simple watching him take everyone out. I was so enjoying this moment.

No one stood a chance.

And if I was the guy who thought we were no longer alone, I’d have gather everyone into a group. I’m not going after the man who needs a circus tent sized shirt to get dressed by myself. Nope, not happening.

Alas, they are stupid.

So stupid.

A counterfeiting ring, hidden away from the government for such a long time is no small feat. Takes some brains.

But clearly we’ve rented them out or something. Who knows?

Either way, I enjoyed this scene very much.

I enjoyed Reacher prepping. His shopping trip. All of it was so damn fun.

Then the last fight.

I’ll the idiot, cousin? Credit. He last way longer than he should have.

But I think combining the fact that he’s clearly mentally unstable with the fact that he knew he was on his own and he was fighting for his life, not to mention the glory of winning, well, I think that worked well in his favor.

One problem though. Reacher.

He and Captain America would get along well.

Neither of them stop.

Unless he’s dead, Reacher will keep coming. Keep moving forward, no matter what’s in his way.

A true testament this was to this show. It shined in every moment. Loved it.

Then on the flip side we have the murder of an actually clean Stevenson.

Damn.

It was absolutely terrible. I hated every moment of that scene. It was so uncomfortable and wrong and unfair. Exactly as they wanted it to be.

Made a thousand times worse when our heroes realize that they helped put the target on his back, and not two, but three people died.

The emotion from Reacher was insane.

He was enraged on behalf of that baby.

I loved that he kept reminding Finley there was another person killed.

I knew nothing good was going to happen when they were going to bed, but it hit worse because she was pregnant. Tragic and terrible.

And I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

Teale continues to make things obvious. Fires Finley.

Finley chooses to look Stevenson’s parents in the eye and tell them what happened to their son. I didn’t like Finley all that much. I’m still not sure I do, because he is such a hardass. But I respect the hell out of him for that choice.

I couldn’t imagine.

It was an honorable choice.

Of course, because he’s a good man, Teale knows where he’s headed.

Which means people are coming to kill him.

The entire scene between him and Reacher is delightful. I am especially fond of the Kool-Aid Man smash through the wall, then apologize, shout your a cop, and to call the police.

Well, sir, if you’re the police – shouldn’t you call for back-up?

Also, you were fired.

Sorry.

His race to his car as the three rush inside. How did they not hear the smash is hilarious? Then he races away, refusing to stop until he’s back.

So good.

Then we’ve laid it all out. We know everything about how the make the bills, ship them, and we’re ready to hand it over to the FBI. We’ve got the bad guys.

Except, this is episode seven. There’s another episode.

Picard.

You ass!

I totally thought he was far enough removed from the situation that he had no part in it. I should have known. I hate when I miss obvious things. Because I suspected him. But I dismissed it.

Silly mistake.

I hope he dies painfully too, because he’s in on how Joe died. And well, we can’t have him breathing by the end of the next episode, right?

Le sigh.
