Reacher – First Dance

This show is messed up.

Just a little.

It’s not a bad thing. Entirely.

But I could have lived my whole life without seeing a man pinned to the wall naked after being forced…

Welp, that’s all I have on that.

Moving on.

To my incoherent thoughts!

The cops in Margrave are totally dirty.

Where could Hubble have gone? How long before he appears somewhere as a dead body?

I like the barber shop guy. He’s nice.

No, I would not like to dance with Reacher. And if I were you two idiots, I’d stop being so smug.

Also, I doubt his contacts got him out of anything. Based on everything I know about him in these two episodes thus far, he’s a good man. He was probably justified or cleared.

Either way, go away. I hate you, KJ, and other fool whose name I don’t know.

Kliner is absolutely doing something shady. No rich person in the history of TV, saves a small town because they can. The people of Margrave may buy his bullshit story about surviving anything, but I don’t.

Nope, not one bit.

I also don’t trust Mayor Teale.

Anyone who appoints themselves police chief while they’re mayor, shouldn’t be trusted. That’s too much power for one person. It’s why they’re separate jobs.

Also, if you weren’t invested in covering up some shit, you’d hire the big city cop to figure it out. Instead, you hinder his investigation.

The murders don’t have anything to do with each other? Really? That’s the line of BS you’re going with?

Is anyone buying this?

Oh, hi Lana! Lana Lang. From Smallville, a place where she acted alongside Alan Ritchson once. Funny. Huh.

I almost believe her when she says she knows nothing. Almost.

I don’t think she knows absolutely nothing. She knows something about what her husband’s got mixed up in. Maybe not the extent though.

Either way, I like her.

She’s a no nonsense type of mom, spoke her mind about who she wanted protecting her, and chucked herself in front of her kids to protect them when Picard showed up.

Reacher’s reaction and grabbing Roscoe’s gun was so hilarious to me.

I don’t know why.

Either way, she did what she did to protect her kids. She put their safety above everything and didn’t complain. Shit happens.

Which is also why I think she knows something. She was way too quick to agree.

Or maybe the fact that most people are dead, possibly including her husband, hurried her along to safety.

Oh, and the dog. I loved the dog.

I loved that he called the guy a liar. I hope he saves the dog.

Please someone tell me now, nothing happens to the dog. A guy forced to… I can handle that. Animal violence or cruelty? Nope, I’m out.

I won’t even watch John Wick because of the dog. No. No. My heart cannot take it.

I still don’t like Finley.

I loved Reacher trying to pretend to be him. Especially the later comment about the pole up his ass. I had to pause because I was laughing so hard. The delivery, his face. Ah.

Did that prison guard think he was going to win that one? That Reacher would just roll over and die?

I loved that Reacher was also a little offended and had to point out that they were South American Special Forces or he would have killed them in ten seconds. He’s like a petulant child sometimes.

Then the man needs a drink.

Like Roscoe, I don’t blame him.

Finely, go sit down.

I love that Roscoe takes him for a drink. Even though the get stuck and have a chance to bond, which I could take or leave, frankly.

Mostly! Mostly, because I don’t want a romance because I know Reacher will leave and we’ll get a new love interest in season two because that’s how it goes with these books. Series like this. I just can’t. I don’t want.

Nope.

I like Roscoe. I can even see why she would be attracted to him and vice versa. But since nothing will come of it and we’ll have a new love interest, it’s hard to get emotionally invested. I’d rather be dealing with people being murdered than this love story going nowhere.

Also, it’s just such a male fantasy, that wherever you go, women will fall in love with you. Over and over. Like James Bond.

Nope, not here for that.

If they were bonding as friends, I’d get behind it. I would. But I know! I know there’s going to be something. I can feel it.

However, to be fair, I do enjoy their scenes together.

They make a good team. They have good chemistry and despite being so tiny next to him, she can hold her own against him. I love that.

Then there was her house. Why would they go there? Is she too close? Is she dirty? I doubt that.

And yes, give Reacher a gun. I’d feel better.

Okay, whew. I think that’s everything.

Sorry about the incoherent rant. I needed to get that all out before I forgot something!
