My Adventures With Superman: My Interview With Superman

What is this show?

No, seriously.

Chaos ensues every time it graces my screen and I couldn’t love it more if I tried.

In this episode, we’re treated to Lois Lane trying to land the Superman story while Perry wants it assigned to someone with more experience.

I’m not sure how I feel about Cat Grant, and the others being older. But I do like that Ron Troupe is now a woman. That was a fun take!

I also loved their ridiculous intro.

I also loved that the other three tried to copy it, while two out of the three tried. Clark just moped which was adorable.

Not to mention his outrage at her theft.

Then his blushing and smirk at her theft.

He’s so damn smitten.

She could probably kidnap him and he’d see be all heart eyes at her.

It’s amazing.

I loved that they’re so goofy for each other. Lois and Clark are simply just so wonderful together.

I love Jimmy being absolutely goofy in the background.

It’s interesting that Clark’s powers haven’t fully developed yet. It’s was weird to watch him suddenly gain his ability to use heat vision. His absolute chaos as his power started coming out was hilarious.

Especially when he walked into Lois.

Their little moment in the hallway was adorable.

Especially since Clark went out of his way to get Lois her favorite coffee.

Their budding relationship is amazing. I love it.

The entire wacky plotline with ‘Intergang’ was odd. Was that their take on the formidable Intergang? It was a little less terrifying than they’re supposed to be.

On the other hand, I was deeply amused by their ineffective ability to rob a bank with high-tech stuff.

And a kudos to the writers of the show for understanding Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen at their cores.

They are like Clark.

They want to do the right thing.

Even if it puts them at risk.

Clark being impressed that they didn’t run when he gave them the chance was absolutely perfect. Because that’s why he’s close to them. Why Lois is perfect.

They can get hurt.

They can die.

But they choose the right thing, simply because it’s the right thing.

Just like Clark.

Now, unlike most interviews with Superman, Lois usually gets the whole story. Finds out where he’s from, his powers, and so on.

But here…

Welp, Superman has no answers.

And while it seems like he’s evading so I totally get Lois’ conclusion at the end of the episode, he’s really not.

He just doesn’t have any answers.

I did also love Clark explaining why he picked her and taking her somewhere no one could interrupt.

Not to mention, I adored the notes of their classic love theme in the background as they soared through the sky together. It perfectly tied everything together and made my little 7 year old brain so happy.

I love when they pay proper homage to what’s come before.

Lastly, I did enjoy that Lois didn’t simply forget Clark now that she’s met Superman. She’s still as smitten and worried and interested as she was before.

Clark’s face when Lois called Superman a liar was hilarious.

It did catch me off guard too, because I automatically said ‘Superman never lies.’

Then I remembered, new world, new origin, and to Lois he seemed to be avoiding the questions.

This show is exactly like the Spider-Man PlayStation game. It’s made with so much love and joy over the characters it reminds me of all the reasons I love Superman so much.

Thank you to the writers and creators of this show for caring!
