I adore this game!
I love the story!
I loved the whole storyline! All the gameplay! The pacing! The final fight with Doc Ock!
Everything was amazing!

There was a review on YouTube where someone said this made them fall in love with the character all over again and it does.
This game was made with so much love for Spider-Man and Peter Parker, you can feel it.
You can feel it in every moment, every punch, every easter egg, and every second right up to the very last moment of the main gameplay.
I’ve never had a video game make me cry before. In fact, most movies and tv shows rarely get me to tear up. Although, I admit I’m much softer as I get older.
But when [SPOILER] Aunt May passed was like a punch to the gut.
I felt it.
I felt Peter’s pain. His rage at not being able to save both, but knowing what he had to do.
Aunt May’s faith in him to choose the right thing. To tell him she was proud and that she did worry, but loved him for it.
That scene was simply amazing.
And it hit home for me because I lost my grandmother to Covid. So I felt it tenfold.
My room was so quiet as I listened to the final beeps on the machine, and I sobbed when she was gone.
Congratulations Insomniac, you broke my heart!
Damn.
The end with Peter and MJ getting back together three months later was simply perfect. It was well-paced too. I loved that not everything was solved because Peter saved the day. There was still a lot of emotions attached.
Peter and MJ’s relationship was a favorite piece to the game I miss now as I traverse New York attempting to complete the last bits of the game.
Damn pigeons.
I miss their conversations as you swing through New York.
On the other hand, I love J Jonah Jameson screeching through New York as he blames Spider-Man for his stubbed toe.
There was so much love and care in this game, it makes me want to play it again, and again. Watch all of the Spider-Man shows, movies, and let myself get sucked into one of the greatest superheroes ever!
Stan Lee you made him and Insomniac made this beautiful gesture of love for him.
Gah, so good.
Now, I’m off to preorder 2. Play Miles Morales and the bonus content. And catch those damn pigeons. Hate those things.
