One of the newer but no less important couples on my list!
I found them not too long ago and immediately loved them!
Their entire story in season one was filled with delicious drama and longing and angst and pining. I adored it all.
Season two, brought calm, love, stability, and making a home with little to no drama internally from these two. Which was a nice break after season one.
However, that’s not to say they were pushed to the side.
If anything, the show took great pleasure in bringing them to the forefront whenever they could.
NCIS: Hawai’i’s writers did an amazing job of treating them like the other main couple in the NCISverse, Deeks and Kensi. Their relationship is central to the show. All the characters treat it importantly, are aware, and no one bats an eye.
I love it.
The two actresses do an incredible job together. Though, I would like to see the casual intimacy between them a bit more.
Overall, this couple is amazing.
We’ve gotten to watch their relationship grow organically.
They’ve moved in together. They’ve faced separation. Jealousy. Drama. Near-death experiences. Everyone loves them together. They love each other.
And not to mention the severe miscommunications that end in laughter rather than drama.
There’s a certain level of love and respect in this ship that is wonderful.
They both hold each other in high regard that they’ve earned. Both women are good at what they do and each know that and love it about each other.
I honestly think that while they hooked up without knowing what the other did for work, their work has only brought them closer. They have such a common viewpoint that only served to strengthen their relationship.
It gave them something else to bond over.
At the same time, I love that they are so different from each other.
Like keeping only one shoe in her car. Lucy.
Opening Christmas presents on the 23rd. Lucy.
Being a health food nut. Kate.
Not even asking why they’re opening gifts on the 23rd, but being so in love and whipped she just goes with it. Kate.
Stickler for the rules. Kate.
Celebrating anniversaries on random days. Lucy.
Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone else in the world for them. They compliment and are different enough to match perfectly.
