Okay, okay, okay, here me out, anyone have baby Maya vibes here?
I’ve watched two different firefighter shows where a former Olympian becomes a firefighter. One of them was a track star!
Anyone else wonder if this might be the job for Casey when she grows up?
Okay, now that I got my weird thoughts out of the way.
The couple!
This is a really cute teen couple. One I’m not sure will last for life, but you hope against all odds that it does. It would be cute.
But what I do think, is that they were the ones they needed at that moment in their lives.
Izzie learned things about herself and became more comfortable in her own skin.
Casey too, but in a different way. She learned that life is made up of choices, good, bad, and in between. Sometimes, there’s no good choices either.
But you make do.
This is a great coming out story, but also a story of two teenagers just trying to make their way in the world, and having no idea how.
It’s also amuses me a little that both girls mistake their easy connection to each other as a strong friendship. Because who the hell hasn’t done that?
Oh, yeah. She’s so sweet and nice and I’m never annoyed spending time with her. We have so much in common, and I like sleeping in her bed, and being really close. Also I hate her boyfriend, for completely non-jealous reasons.
Yeah, sure.
We’ve all had that moment.
And then the moment when it clicks and you’re… sh*t. I’m a little in love with her. Romantically.
How did that happen?
The whole story between them is super realistic, made up of real problems, and moments teenagers face.
I love the story.
I love the confusion.
And one of my favorite parts is Evan.
Evan is a wonderful guy and we’re never given a reason to hate him, because sometimes, you just fall out of love with people. It’s a great take on the relationship, because they are teens.
Love comes and goes.
And Casey is forced to reckon with loving someone else while she’s dating someone.
It’s a great storyline, because no one is really at fault.
It happens.
