Yes, I like both.

During season three of Legends, I heard a rumor that Sara Lance was getting a new permanent love interest, so off I went to check it out.

To be honest, I didn’t like Ava.

I actually fell harder for Nyssara. I very defiantly loved Nyssa over Ava.

However, as season six was airing, I gave Legends another chance. The series as a whole. Everyone kept saying good things, so I decided to see what the fuss was about.

And well, damn it, I loved this zany show.

As well as, Avalance.

An unexpected treat as I went along in my watch.

Ava’s character rounded out after season three, into a full fleshed character, and not just a love interest.

She loves serial killers. A fact that I enjoy given that she fell in love with an assassin. She’s a stickler for the rules. She’s self-conscious. She can be jealous. Petty.

She can be pretty darn human.

For someone who came off as perfect in season three with an attitude that said she was better than everyone, it was a nice change to see her vulnerable.

And to see her truly love Sara.

As much as I love Nyssara, I will never root against Sara’s happiness.

I’ve loved Sara since she appeared on Arrow. Her whole story and character arc fascinated me. I hated it, when they killed her. I stopped watching. I only returned to Arrow and the Arrowverse as a whole when she was brought back to life.

Seeing Sara happy is always worth it to me.

Watching Ava turn over every rock, break rules, and try to contain the Legends while searching for Sara in season six was perfect.

It illustrated how much she loved her.

So much so, that this normally get up and go woman, broke down in bed, unable to eat or do anything.

I felt it.

I also love the behind-the-scenes playful rivalry between Katrina and Jes over who loves Sara more. I love that both actresses play into it and have fun with it.

So wonderful.

So while Nyssa and Sara are my favorite pairing, I also love Sara with Ava. I’m happy she found her happy ending with someone who turned out to be amazing.

Someone I think even Nyssa would love.
