Um, who’s the guy? Frost died? Caitlin is dead?

What the heck happened in the last couple seasons? Pure chaos?

Does anyone know how we’re supposed to feel about losing Caitlin and Frost? We’re in the last season of the show and we’re not getting a goodbye for at least Caitlin?

I’m pretty sure Frost got a funeral. However, with all the hope of trying to bring her back, fans probably didn’t really mourn her loss.

Because no one ever really stays dead on these shows.

It was just weird.

That being said, I actually liked Snow.

Although, I have a very serious question how many personalities does she have in there?

It’s like that scene from Monsters Inc – how many kids you got in there?

I did like Snow. She’s nothing like the other two and that’s what kind made her wonderful. Iris and Barry believing this is what Caitlin would have wanted was a nice thought.

And I actually agree with them.

I’ll explain.

For as long as I watched the show, Caitlin has been tortured.

First, she lost Ronnie, only to get him back, and keep losing him over and over.

Then she fell in love again only for Jay to turn out to be a horrendous monster trying to kill her friends and rule two worlds.

Yikes.

In season three she developed powers and a split personality she didn’t understand.

It took her a while for her and Frost to come to terms with each other and coexist. It was a good story, but the truth is – Caitlin hasn’t known peace as long as we’ve known her.

She’s still been the same struggling woman we meet in the pilot where this neutral expression is the only way she gets through the day.

Snow or Kion (is that right?) is free from all the burdens.

Free from being split into two.

Free from the losses she’s endured.

Caitlin and Frost finally get to rest, having birthed a good person into the world. One who can still help people and can do the right thing. But they can finally rest.

It’s not bad.

I just wish we could have another chance for Team Flash and the audience to say goodbye to a longtime character.

Side note – how much you want to bet she has some kind of power?

The rain felt very on the nose. It stopped raining when she choose for herself. She felt connected to it and nature itself. It was the one thing that made sense to Snow when the rest of the world felt so disconnected from her.

As for the rest of the story, I was glad Barry gave grace to the man trying to do anything to save the love of his life.

Because we all know Barry would burn the world to save Iris, so it wasn’t fair of him to judge someone else doing the same.

I appreciated the consent of letting Snow choose for herself what would happen.

They allowed the characters the dignity of their own choice.

Caitlin chose this.

Frost chose to sacrifice herself.

Snow chose to live her own life.

Consent is important.

Choices are important.

By the way, what is with the cinematography this season? That shot with the rain on the glass and transitions between the characters was awesome.

I loved that.

It feels like the CW pulled out all the stops this season to say goodbye to one of it’s shows. It’s too bad they can’t be bothered to do it with all the Arrowverse shows instead of abruptly cancelling them.

*Cough* Legends. *Cough*

I will – however – take it where I can get it.

So, let’s hope this week’s episode is good! And we see what’s up with the Red Death…?

FYI, I’m flying blind this season. No spoilers, no watching season 7 and 8 to catch up on what’s happened. I’m just going with the end of this show!

We’ll see where that takes us.
