Masterpiece Movie Mondays! On Monday every week, I’m going to talk about a movie I watched over the weekend and rate it!
Is it a Masterpiece or a Masterfail? Or even somewhere in between!

First up this week is Red Notice! This movie stars Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
It premiered on Netflix at the end of 2021!
I still remember watching it through the first time and my jaw dropping at the end. Honestly, I love twists that are so perfect that when you rewatch the movie, you can see all the breadcrumbs!
According to my Netflix profile, this is one of their most rewatched movies! Who else didn’t want to go back and see all the little details that they missed to add up to one of the best twists I’ve seen in such a long time!!
Too many movies and shows are all in for the ‘shock’ value twists that are no longer shocking or interesting. Actually, I don’t think they were ever interesting. The shock has no real payoff because it never makes sense, because it was just something stuck in there meant to be shocking but ends up as confusing.
Ugh.
The twist in this movie is a must see. It is one all writers and filmmakers need to understand. I want breadcrumbs.
I want to rewatch the movie again and again knowing full well so I can enjoy how much it got me the first time because I can see it so damn clearly!
All in all, Red Notice is a Masterpiece! Or at least, that’s my ranking! 😉
It made me happy and it’s a movie I’ll rewatch over and over again. Even add it to my physical collection when I get the chance.
